Your spirituality is your relationship with the universe.
Regardless of your religious orientation, deep in your psyche, you hold some core beliefs about who you are, what is your place in this universe, why you are here. These beliefs operate in your subconscious and govern the meanings you place on life experiences.
The meanings assigned by your subconscious generates your emotional response. Do you respond to life with boredom or passion? Do you see life as a series of endless chores or a series of fun games to play? When life throws challenges at you, do you feel energized or scared? Do you play full on or sit on the sidelines? Are you waiting for something significant to happen before you start living your life?
Chronic emotions like loneliness, sadness, boredom, longing, and fear which are ever present and follow you everywhere, constitute a spiritual ailment. It is an invitation from your soul to dive deep and reflect on your core beliefs.
When you see and let go of a misguiding core belief, you will find yourself breathing out a deep sigh of relief. You are then open and ready to experience the bliss of existence which is your innermost true nature.
